Rooted In Purpose

A Woman Sowed was born out of lived experience, faith, and a deep understanding of what it means to keep going even when the ground feels hard.

Like many women, I found myself in seasons where I was planting seeds—into my family, my faith, my community—often without immediate results or visible support. I learned that sowing doesn't always look like abundance at first; sometimes it looks like perseverance, prayer, and trusting God while waiting for growth.

A Woman Sowed was created to remind women that every act of faith, every sacrifice, and every seed planted in love matters. It exists  to provide encouragement, resources, and community for parents—especially mothers and single parents—so they don't have to sow alone.

This foundation stands on the belief that God honors faithful sowing, even in unseen seasons, and that when women are supported, their families and communities are strengthened as a result.

Founding Story

Founder & Visionary

The man in the middle is wearing sunglasses, a gray suit, and jewelry. The woman on the right is wearing a plaid blazer, black top, and holding a black clutch. All three are smiling and posing for the photo.

A Woman Sowed Foundation began with a mother, LaShawnda Cleare, navigating seasons of uncertainty while making important decisions for her family—often without clear guidance or support.

As the mother of professional football quarterback Anthony Richardson and younger brother Corey Carter, LaShawnda experienced firsthand how quickly life can shift and how isolated those moments can feel.  Through asking questions, learning as she went, leaning deeply into her faith, and seeking community, she came to understand the power of shared wisdom, encouragement, and connection.

From those experiences, A Woman Sowed was born—rooted in faith and shaped by a heartfelt desire to create spaces where women can grow, be supported, learn from trusted voices, and walk alongside one another through every season of life.
